We believe that the price of seeing a medical practitioner is one of the key barriers to people getting the health care they deserve. Our charges reflect our desire to create access. We want our patients to be able to see us when they need to. We think that is important in meeting their needs.

 

A GP Consultation is usually around 20 minutes.

A Nurse Practitioner or Nurse consultation will vary depending on what is required.

Script repeats are charged at the same rate as a Nurse's consultation.

Urgent Prescription Requests

For URGENT prescriptions $15.00 will be charged and processed within 24 hours

All non-urgent request will take TWO working days and cost $7.00 with a CSC & $15.00 w/out a CSC

12 month Prescriptions

From 1 February 2026, if you have a stable long-term health condition like asthma, diabetes or high blood pressure, your nurse or doctor can give you a prescription that lasts up to 12 months. This means you won’t need to see them every 3 months just to renew your script — as long as it’s safe for you.

You will still go to the pharmacy at least every 3 months to pick up your medicine — you can’t get all 12 months’ supply at once.

Not everyone will get a 12-month prescription. Your clinician will decide if it’s right for you based on your health, your medicines, and how well you are doing.

This change is to make it easier and cheaper for people on long-term medicines — fewer visits just for repeat prescriptions

All services for children 13 years and under are free, unless otherwise advised.
